Will I be identified in these stories?
This is entirely up to you. You can share stories anonymously or about topics without any identifying information. You can ask that all identifying information be removed before any are made available to other participants.
Who will see these stories?
We will make the original stories only available to the private group. The edited stories will be used for a documentary, exhibit, or collection that will be made available to a more public group.
WHAT WILL BE DONE WITH THE STORIES?
Can my stories or I remain anonymous?
Yes. This is up to you. Please do not share any information you do not want to be made public. All information on the identifying form is optional. If you want to remain anonymous in any dissemination of these stories, please so indicate and we will not include your name in any of the stories.
What will be done with the stories?
The stories are intended to be saved for our next generation, and to capture the history of the early Chinese American immigrants in NYC Chinatown. They may be put together in a collection, a documentary, or an exhibit to be made available to the public, your family, and to your descendants.

What if I don't want my stories on Facebook?
The Facebook Group is private. Open only to members that grew up in NYC Chinatown during the 40s-60s. You can choose, however, not to have any of the stories you submit on Facebook. Just indicate on the release form
